What can I say about my Penny girl?! She has turned into more than I could have dreamed of. Penny has always been extremely persistent in getting what she wants. When she was a puppy she stayed at my house for a while to bond with me, and when 4 dogs was "too many" for a certain husband she went back to live at the farm with Marie. I would go visit and one time when I was there working dogs out in the arena she escaped from her yard and ran to my vehicle and waited for me. Needless to say Penny came home and never left.
We dabbled in the conformation ring when she was younger, but my priority at the time was getting her mother finished so Penny was kind of put on the back burner. She won a 4 point major in 2019 and we trained in obedience and agility, earned a few titles and were just hitting our stride when covid hit. Nearly a year went by, we got more into herding during that time, and she earned her Started Sheep title.
I told myself in August of 2021 that if she didn't win any more points in conformation at the next show, she was done, and what did she do!? Wins Best of Breed for a 4 point major! Penny completed her ASCA championship in July 2022! :) Now, she in on to her next venture, becoming a mom!
Penny has easily excelled in every venue we have tried and we're not done yet!
